Forgiveness Terminology. There are several Hebrew terms equivalent to the English "to forgive." As in Matthew 6:14-15 that reads; "For if you forgive men their trespasses. Your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive men their trespasses. Neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. God's restoration of relationship that entails the removal of objective guilt. To forgive the offense against God's holiness or the perpetrator of the offense are synonymous. Forgiveness can be extended all. In Ephesians 4:31-32 it reads; "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.

Jesus' Teaching on Forgiveness:

Jesus said to be ready to forgive over and over again. Look at Matthew 18: 21-22 (NIV). Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times? "Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times." Wow, what a great reminder this ring will be. Especially out side of social media and instagram, twitter and facebook.
