Soccer Medal on Black Rubber

Item code SPSRUB - Soccer Medal on black rubber that features a round soccer ball pendant with black and white color filled epoxy with embossed text that reads "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens us". This scripture from the Bible is our inspiration. I CAN DO is our motto. It is inspired from Philippians 4:13. On the backside of this round soccer ball necklace we engraved Philippians 4:13 with the scripture reference. The entire pendant is made from lead free pewter alloy. We used an antique silver finish that really highlights the embossed text.

Modern Soccer from the 18th Century

In 1815, a major development took place that made soccer popular in Universities, Colleges and Schools. King Edward III banned soccer in 1365, owing to the growing incidents of violence and military indulgence in the sport. The history of modern-day soccer was established in 1863. In October 1863, eleven representatives from London clubs and schools met at the Freemason's Tavern to set up common fundamental rules to control the matches amongst themselves.
