The first step about keeping it real is to realize its always about "Keeping it about Jesus" – Jesus must always be the central message of what we communicate to others. At the end of the day it is always about Jesus! This is not just something cool we made up the apostle Paul states it clearly, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20). Jesus must be the central message of our faith.
Do not make it complicated
Keeping it Real and Keep it Simple – People often want to make faith complicated by adding something to it. Just because it is simple doesn’t mean it cannot be deep. Deep faith extends deep and wide (Ephesians 3:17).
All you have to do is be authentic in our faith! Our faith must be genuine, not a copy, and not a counterfeit. Our faith is based completely upon the Word of God. His Word tells us we should live a balanced and understanding life of faith so we can know the mysteries of Christ (1 John 5:20, Colossians 2:2 – 4).
