The pendant is made with lead free pewter that has a special antique brass finish. This basketball features engraved lines like a round basketball.  Around the outer perimeter of the basketball we used embossed text that reads "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens us". This scripture from the Bible is our inspiration.  This necklace comes on 22 inch black rubber. With the combination of engraved lines and raised text along with the curve of the ball the antique brass finish really show the contrasting beauty of this specific finish.

What is a Brass Color metal finish?

Not only is it Color, but it is a special finish that is a soft brassy burnt golden like finish. It is a smooth mellow finish that is very close to dark dull gold finish.

Care and Cleaning

While Forgiven Jewelry products are designed to last for many years, proper care is an important part of keeping your jewelry looking its best. This pendant is made from lead free pewter with a SPECIAL finish. Avoid letting the pendant come into contact with abrasive materials and/or chemicals such as chlorine, saltwater, etc. With some individuals, perspiration and continual skin contact may cause a chemical reaction and for the finish will fade quickly.  We do not recommend wearing while swimming or in the shower while bathing. To clean your jewelry, use a warm, soapy water soak and a ultra soft brush.

This scripture from the Bible is our inspiration. I CAN DO is our motto. It is inspired from Philippians 4:13. The entire pendant is made from Lead Free Pewter that has a Brass finish. We used an antique brass finish that really highlights the embossed text.

The history of basketball in America

Back in 1891, the first game of basketball was played at Springfield College. The game was invented by a Canadian, Dr. James Naismith, a versatile athlete, theologian, and physical education instructor, who envisioned "the time when Christian people would recognize the true value of athletics." He designed basketball to occupy a class of disagreeable male students at the Springfield YMCA, who were bored with the calisthenics and children's games in their gym class.
