The world says Valentine’s day is the day for lovers…but we don’t need to focus on just this one day of the year. Jesus’s love is for everyone all over the world, yet at the same time it’s personal and just for us…everyday! The world says we need to either give or receive a dozen long stem roses, a pound of assorted chocolates, and the most heartfelt sentiments printed on lavish greeting cards to give to our “Valentine’s” (aka: those we love). If Jesus Christ truly lives in our hearts and if Jesus is our Valentine, these things should be evident to everyone around us. Everyday should be Valentine’s Day - sharing the love to people that we live with, work with, see at church or the grocery store or the gym. Through Jesus Christ, our greatest goal is to do all things in love. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. To start - on Valentine’s day let’s go out of our way to make everyone our “Valentine”, after that we can become deliberate in planning and going out of our way to make friends, family and total strangers feel the love of Jesus Christ. Here is a simple and cute craft idea that could be given out any day: purchase candy or snacks and write a silly catchy slogan on a post-it-note or card stock and attach to the candy. You can also purchase inexpensive boxed greeting cards , or Pass it On cards .
