Item CLB - Baseball Bat Cross Necklace Small that is proudly made in the USA. The Baseball Bat Cross Necklace is made from lead free pewter with Antique Silver Color finish. This Bat Cross features detailed Baseball Bats that form a Cross pendant with engraved text that reads "I can do all things" on one bat and "PHIL. 4:13" on the other. The smaller detailed Baseball Bat that is about 1/2 inch smaller than our original SCBB baseball bat that measures about 2 inches.  Baseball Bat Cross is attached to a 30 inch aluminum chain that is strong and will not rust. The ball chain can be cut to any size with snips or scissors.

What is a Antique Silver Finish?
It is a special finish that is similar to sterling silver finishes but not as shiny. It is a smooth light bright grey  finish that is very close to the same color as stainless steel.  This scripture from the Bible is our inspiration.

Baseball History in America

Back in September 1845, a small group of men in New York City created the N.Y.K.B.C. (New York Knickerbocker Baseball Club). One of them, Alexander Joy Cartwright would codify a new set of rules that would form the basis for modern baseball, calling for a diamond-shaped infield, foul lines and the three-strike rule. He also stopped the dangerous practice of tagging runners by throwing balls at them. Mr. Cartwright's changes made the burgeoning pastime faster-paced and more challenging while clearly differentiating it from older games like cricket. In 1846, the Knickerbockers played the first official game of baseball against a team of cricket players, beginning a new, uniquely American tradition.
